About Me

My name is Jon, and I am a man in his 30s born in 1991. I have decided to make this blog to write about my life experiences in hopes that someone out there reading from them could benefit and reach success from them. Mainly my focus is on fitness, health and general self improvement. For everyone.

From the age of 16 to 21, I had a lot of struggles as a young man: obesity — I lost the weight by age 21 but I lacked the muscle or strength to feel confident as I was not fat anymore but skinny, social awkwardness and overall headed down a dangerous path surrounded by people who were bad to be around and on a collision course with disaster. Somewhere I didn’t want to be.

Between 23 and 27, I joined the military reserves as an infantry soldier while also working in security. That’s when I started getting serious about fitness; beginning with bodyweight exercises, moving on to 5×5 routines, and eventually developing my own bodybuilding program. It was a time of discipline, growth, and transformation.

At 27, I left the military and traveled to Vietnam, living there for three months. I had a failed romance, but I returned home and, at age 28, finally reached my peak physical condition.

Dream physique achieved…

But life threw me another curveball—I got involved with the wrong people (in particular the wrong woman — a stripper and camgirl of all professions) and fell into drugs and crime once more which eventually led to prison. Coming out, I was mentally broken, addicted, and had put on the weight I had worked so hard to lose.

I was stuck living with my parents, single, unattractive, obese again, addicted to drugs, mentally ill, under employed or over employed (pending) at a job I hated and stuck in a small town in the middle of nowhere.

Something had to change…

And it did…

On the left at my heaviest I was 276 lbs…

At 33, I’m back at my best, physically and mentally. I got into a trade, started Iron Resilience, and began the work of manifesting success and greatness in my life once again. Never settling for average. Certainly never for the below average.

I’ve learned a lot from my struggles, and now, I want to share that journey with you. It’s all about resilience, growth, and never giving up, no matter how hard life gets.

This blog is about more than fitness; it’s about mindset, overcoming adversity, and the pursuit of a better version of yourself. If I can do it, so can you.
